Our perception of who we truly are is like the ripening of fruit. Unripe fruit is the same as ripened fruit…a pear is a pear. Yet the ripened fruit is sweeter, more colorful, capable of giving us pleasure and nourishment. As we mature spiritually, so we, like the pear, become complete, even though we were complete before.
