Bare wooden boxes swing in the breeze
Contorted bone and spine are folded in
Cubes of splintered wood on naked skin
Swinging high amongst leaves and limbs
Incarcerated at the furious forest’s whim
Open to elements and nature’s powers
Punishing heat, cold, wind and showers
Revenge is as sour as the dirt and sweat
In which tree slayers languish until death

seductively
subtly
whisking the mind away
away
to
those
custard-apple evenings
of
monsoon drenched rain
whistling between trees of rhyme
peacock feathers
lying listless
as
beaten as these lines
and still beyond it all
past rainbows fractured
the sun still shines
mending soggy feathers
aflutter
alone
always alone
on cardamom clouds
leading me here
to now.
this moment
trapped
vacuum sealed
anaesthetised
through
countless
incense-smoked paths
crumbling
on
ever on
with
many
dreams strewn asunder
as heartless time
tireless time
rages on
shedding fatigued smiles
over the countless
numberless
exhausted
miles

Her country is in chaos, an army is marching from Austria, and revolution is a breath away.
Mila is caught in the middle, between the man she loves—Marc, the son of a blacksmith and a leader of the rebellion—and the murderer the Church calls her husband. Even as she flees with Marc into the heart of the resistance, where the suspicions of angry citizens make her every palace-born habit a danger, she knows he hasn’t told her everything.
But Mila is keeping the biggest secret herself: she is the heir to the throne, the…

Incomensurabilidade
