La corrupción de Odebrecht debe ser investigada en EEUU y Europa

La corrupción es como una bola de nieve. Una vez que empieza a rodar seguirá creciendo (Charles Caleb Colton, 1780-1832).
Sin embargo, hay ‘gato encerrado’ en el manejo de este asunto por parte del Departamento de Justicia de EEUU, que señaló solamente a 10 países latinoamericanos y dos africanos afectados por los sobornos de Odebrecht, sin mencionar que la corporación tiene contratos en 25 naciones, entre ellas Norteamérica.
Solamente un inocente podría creer que un conglomerado brasileño con 73 años de experiencia, que había creado una unidad especial, la ‘Structural Operation Division’ (División de Pagos Estructurales), con el propósito de usar sobornos a cambio de contratos, haya sido selectiva en el uso de coimas para su beneficio. O amor riscado a faca

Romeu, o filho caçula de Dona Ernestina era a última esperança de conquista de uma vida melhor, deixou sua cidade, Cafundó dos Judas, no agreste nordestino, para tentar a sorte no Sudeste. Tímido, se espantou quando desceu do ônibus na rodoviária e não demorou muito para conhecer como é viver em uma cidade grande. Romeu teve sua mala levada sem nem ver por quem.
Romeu está determinado e isso não lhe foi empecilho, saiu a caça de uma emprego e um lugar para ficar, conseguiu na construção de um enorme Shopping Center que estava sendo erguido bem em frente da Favela do Mangue. Teve sorte, pois na obra tinha alojamento e ele teve um lugar para ficar.
Romeu trabalha de sol a sol, era pau para toda obra e logo o Mestre de obra da construção, lhe elevou da condição de servente, para condição de pedreiro. Com isso, o dinheiro…

Envy, strife, deadly thoughts and frenzy fill the world,
