WRITING CLOSE TO HOME
The settings in my novels have led me into some interesting territories—from the completely mythical realms contained within my dark fantasy series to a harrowing voyage across the North Atlantic in a psychological thriller which ultimately ends at a remote point in the Shetland Islands. My short stories have plunked me dead center into a haunted wood in Eastern Europe, the swampy bayous of the deep American South, and into a far flung dystopian future world in the wilds of Alaska.
It wasn’t until I began to set a few of my short stories in my home state of Nevada, in the remote outlands far beyond the glitz and neon…

In a Garden Without Shade
1 de Março de 2017, 13:13in a garden
without shade
feathers bowed
in the heat,
Fine hairs
carelessly thread
droplets of sweat gleam
under a summer sun
The weight of the garden bed
and Rose bush spike,
Jupiter scents the air
to caress tired eyes
In this paradise
Built for one
little wings
Untie
Spread
two souls
take flight.

Intel Committee Head: No Evidence Of Contact Between Trump Campaign, Russia
1 de Março de 2017, 13:10Source: Zero Hedge
In what will likely be a setback to the ongoing press campaign to portray the Trump administration and campaign as a Kremlin puppet, on Monday the chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives intelligence committee said he has seen no evidence of contact between Donald Trump’s campaign and the Russian government during the 2016 presidential election, Reuters reported.
Devin Nunes, head of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, said the panel is expanding an ongoing investigation into Russian activities to include Moscow’s efforts targeting the U.S. election. Nunes said he had been briefed on a transcript of a phone call that former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn had with a Russian envoy after the election. He said he did not hear anything worrisome about that call.
During a press conference with reporters on Monday, Rep. Nunes downplayed claims that the White House had…
