Wild buck Jalan left old man John drinking alone. He took Selena, the dance-hall girl up-stair with him. He had bought a bottle of moonshine. He was a old-school drinker. He use to make his own moonshine once when he was young and strong in mind and in heart. He liked Selena. He loved the woman, wild and not tamed. He preferred the moonshine over the whiskey. The whiskey made him damn mean and ugly. The moonshine calmed him down and allowed to know some peace. He was able to find sleep.
Selena was a mix of Mexican and Apache. She was a dark eyes beauty with hair as dark as black coffee. She had no limit on drinking, dancing and sex. He loved her honesty…

Horror Franchise: Alien (1979 – )

By now you must know how much we love a horror franchise, and this time around I thought we’d take a look at Alien, which started in 1979, and has had sequels, spin offs, reboots, games and even restaurants and bars made out of it. OK, so it’s a sci fi, survival horror but it fits the bill for the franchise post treatment. Let’s take a look.
What to expect:
Most Alien films feature one or more of these. Copy these down for your Aliens Franchise Bingo.
- Strong female lead, usually Sigourney as Ripley, but not always
- An evil and foolish company man who thinks they can weaponise the alien
- An android who may or may not be a bad guy, and who you may not know is an android
- Ripley protecting a weaker figure, like Jones the Cat or Newt, the little girl
- A facehugger, that is an alien…

Semana solidária da gastronomia peruana (ou “como comer bem pra caramba e fazer boa ação ao mesmo tempo”)

Ainda não inventaram adjetivos o suficiente ou meu vocabulário não é vasto o bastante pra descrever quão gostosa a comida do Peru é. Agora mesmo, por exemplo, acabei de usar a palavra “gostosa”, e já tô aqui me achando injusta: é muito mais que isso.
Mas apesar da falta de vocabulário, preciso dar essa notícia fenomenal: semana que vem, no Rio de Janeiro, você vai poder comer essa comida fantástica, e ao mesmo tempo ajudar as vítimas das tragédias climáticas aterradoras que vem ocorrendo no Peru.
Vai rolar uma Semana Solidária de gastronomia peruana!
Basicamente, restaurantes peruanos sensacionais na cidade vão reverter 30% do valor arrecadado (em pratos deliciosos selecionados) àqueles que foram – e continuam preocupantemente sendo – atingidos pelo desastre climático nesse país que a gente ama tanto.
