You and I are already perfect.
You may be in hell, but you are perfect in your hell. My perfection isn’t a millimetre taller or shorter than your perfection.
I’m as perfect as perfect can be.
So are you.
What if you and your life are already perfect with a perfection that can’t be added to or taken away from?
Seriously!
Try saying it out loud: “I’m as perfect as perfect as perfect can be….”
This doesn’t mean you don’t have desires to change things about your life, it just means that your life is already perfect, and any changes you make or don’t make can’t affect this perfection.
Kinda changes a whole heap of a lot doesn’t it?

What Does It Mean When Your Teacher Changes Your Name?

When we put out the call for articles for Rethinking Bilingual Education, we received several personal stories from teachers who themselves felt the effects of linguistic discrimination when they were students. Pressão estética, dietas e terrorismo alimentar
7 de Agosto de 2017, 15:23Estou num grupo sobre gordofobia e tenho aprendido bastante sobre o tema e entendido algumas coisas que antes eu não tinha ideia. A primeira que eu queria comentar é a diferença entre gordofobia e pressão estética. (Vou comentar sobre isso de acordo com o que tenho visto no grupo, ok? Não tenho conhecimento formal sobre o tema, portanto se estiver equivocada já peço desculpas e peço que contribuam nos comentários).
Pressão estética é algo que qualquer pessoa pode sofrer, seja gorda ou magra. É uma pressão que recebemos da sociedade em geral, família, amigos, para que nos encaixemos em padrões estéticos estabelecidos. Já a gordofobia, pelo que entendi, atinge as pessoas gordas de uma maneira mais objetiva no cotidiano: dificuldade de caber em cadeiras, passar em catracas, encontrar roupas que sirvam, patologização (“gordo = doente”), dificuldade de obter atendimento médico de qualidade (por exemplo: vai ao médico…
