OUR POETRY CORNER

MY SMILE

Something within me, makes me smile,
Hope it not withers and wanders in a while,
How sweetly it sets itself on my parting lips and l smile,
Like a friend it appears to relieve my heart, l admire the gesture, so l smile,
I am travel tired , l seem to have travelled mile on mile,
It has been a long journey and l let my path lit by my faint smile,
Meanwhile l transferred that smile, to the ones l met for a while,
I taste joy and happiness in some blissful thoughts for a while,
My heart throbs again to impart that glow on my cheeks and l smile,
It seeks presence of something and says only in its presence it will smile,
It is scared my smile is unreal and l stare it with a winning guile,

The Streets of Santiago.

On August 1, 2017, I arrived in Santiago, Chile. As a Fujifilm X-Photographer Ambassador, I was invited to be guest speaker at the brand’s official launch event in Chile. Once my engagements with the brand concluded, I stayed several days longer to spend time shooting local dancers.

Traffic into Piraeus~by Jeremy J Croucher

OUR POETRY CORNER

Part 14 of 20 in ‘The Aegean Shores’ series

Traffic into Piraeus

A traffic jam into Piraeus this morning
Many ships all in a queue
The Pilots letting one in at a time
As I watched from the prow with a view

Over the hills to the east the sun rose
Cast a golden glow everywhere
As each found its berth in the harbour here
(Though some were needing to share)
