“CORAÇÕES LIVRES”, de Susanne Bier (Dinamarca, 2002, 109 min), é uma obra vinculada ao movimento Dogma 95, idealizado por Lars von Trier e Thomas Vinterberg em 1995 e inaugurado por filmes como Os Idiotas, Festa de Família e O Rei Está Vivo.

Este filme de Susanne Bier prova que a renovação radical proposta por esta vanguarda vai muito além do minimalismo técnico e tem a ver sobretudo com o enfoque temático e a postura “anti-kitsch” intransigente: tudo o que a existência humana tem de absurdo, cruel e problemático não deve ser varrido para baixo do tapete.
