Shadow Lords, an online novella adaptation of the free-to-play fighting game Killer Instinct, will dig into the origin story of Mira and release chapters weekly starting now. 

The first chapter titled “The Road to Ravensburg” is available to read now for free here. New chapters will be posted at Killer Instinct’s official website each Friday. The novella is written by Killer Instinct narrative designer Noble Smith and illustrated by Microsoft Studios artist Patrick Shettlesworth. It will feature other characters from Season 3 as well, including Kim Wu and Tusk. 

Mira, a bloodthirsty vampire and fraternal twin to Maya, was introduced to Season 3’s roster as a new DLC character. You can watch her character trailer below.

Check out Season 3’s roster of heroes in action here. More playable characters are on their way, including Gargos, who is planned to join Season 3 this month. Killer Instinct is available on Xbox One and PC.
