As receitas da Amazon Web Services no primeiro trimestre de 2016 cresceram 64% sobre o mesmo período do ano anterior, reforçando a ideia de que as empresas direcionam cada vez mais dinheiro em iniciativas de nuvem pública.
A divisão de cloud da gigante varejista faturou US$ 2,56 bilhões nos primeiros três meses do ano, colocando a unidade rumo à meta de alcançar US$ 10 bilhões em receitas até o final do ano, revelada por Jeff Bezos há algumas semanas.
Nesse momento, a AWS domina o segmento de ofertas de soluções em nuvem pública – com margens expressivas que mostram que a organização tem feito um bom trabalho.
O único risco, na visão do diretor de relações com investidores, Phil Hardin é que os lucros podem apresentar um desempenho “irregular” daqui para frente. Segundo ele, isso ocorre devido a investimentos alocados na construção de novas infraestruturas e tecnologia e da estratégia de redução constante nos preços dos serviços ofertados.
O que o executivo não disse, mas é preciso considerar que a companhia enfrenta uma concorrência mais pesada de empresas como Microsoft, Google e IBM.
Porém, como cloud ainda é um segmento em aceleração, a AWS segue líder e faz sua lição de casa ao expandir seus números de forma significativa e reduzindo espaços para expansão de seus competidores. Por exemplo, o lucro operacional trimestral passou de US$ 195 milhões para US$ 604 milhões em um ano.

An Australian beta tester has uploaded a video displaying gameplay from the upcoming augmented reality mobile game Pokémon Go.
Pokémon Go is being developed by the Pokémon Company in collaboration with Niantic Inc., a company that has specialized in other augmented reality games such as Ingress. The free-to-play Pokémon Go uses your phone’s GPS to transform real-life surroundings into a virtual world full of Pokémon through your iOS or Android screen. The video below gives a glimpse into character creation followed by gym battles, collecting Pokémon, and more.

Brasil está entre os dez países do mundo que mais propagam vírus

Segundo um levantamento da Symantec, o Brasil é o décimo colocado no ranking dos países nos quais mais se originaram vírus no mundo em 2015. Na América Latina, o país ocupa a primeira posição, seguido por México e Argentina. Além disso, é o mais atacado por ransomware (malware que bloqueia o acesso ou criptografa os dados do dispositivo da vítima e pede resgate) na região.
De acordo com a pesquisa, em mídias sociais, o comportamento dos usuários brasileiros difere bastante dos de seus pares latino-americanos. Enquanto no Brasil 71,6% da contaminação por vírus se dá por meio de compartilhamento manual de posts, no México, Colômbia, Peru e Argentina esse índice não atinge 22%.
Por outro lado, estes mesmos países registram um alto índice de contaminação via mensagens que trazem ofertas falsas (prêmios, promoções etc): mais de 80% na Colômbia, 70% na Argentina e Peru, e 51% no México. No Brasil, esse índice fica abaixo dos 10%, o que ressalta a diferença de hábitos dos os usuários brasileiros, que fogem de um aparente padrão nos outros países latino-americanos.
Entre as descobertas mais importantes está o crescimento de 35% dos ataques via ransomware que criptografam os dados das vítimas; as vulnerabilidades do dia zero, que passaram de 24 (2014) para 54 no ano passado, e o fato de meio bilhão de dados pessoais terem sido roubados ou perdidos em 2015.
No Brasil, cerca de 83% dos ataques de spear-phishing (phishing direcionado) tem como alvo as grandes empresas – com mais de 2,5 mil funcionários. Neste segmento, a cada 100 empresas, 16 receberam este tipo de ataque no ano passado.

Final Fantasy 10 Rocks With This Awesome Drum Cover

YouTube drummer Andrew Fleming has followed up his Sonic “Green Hill Zone” drum cover with a new one published today for the “Battle Theme” from 2001’s PlayStation 2 game Final Fantasy X.

That fill at 0:42 is probably my favorite part, but the whole thing is really solid.
As mentioned, this is not Fleming’s first gaming video. Last year, he posted an awesome Destiny drum cover, following it up with the Sonic video earlier this month. You can watch all of Fleming’s videos on his AF Drums YouTube page.
It also looks like it won’t be his last. He’s asking his Twitter followers what song to cover next, with the choices being the themes from Game of Thrones, Pokemon Red, and Super Mario Bros. 3. Game of Thrones is leading the way right now in the community vote. Make your choice here.
In other news about Final Fantasy, the next major news event for Final Fantasy XV is taking place at E3.

In essence, this is software for the more technically minded because of the potential risks of killing your OS.
For everyday/weekly use I would recommend ccleaner, slimcleaner and cleanmgr (albeit with some research into it’s use first).
I had to format and re-install Windows after using this program. It will remove system files if your not careful! Ccleaner is much safer program.
Just a note to remember after installing.
The installation process will put two icons on your desktop, one for DUMo updates and SUMo updates. I have neither one of these programs, so they got deleted, but more importantly, in OPTIONS —> SETTINGS you must remember to uncheck UPDATE DETECTION and then click SAVE. If you don’t click SAVE, then it will automatically default to check for updates each time you start the program.
I am a little nervous about this one, as “bettersafethansorry” has noted below, but will give it a go. Good luck.

You are right! I read that as well months ago when someone suggested this cleaner to me. I decided not to download it and stick with CCleaner which I have been using for close to two years now. Thanks for quoting that.
Take as an alternative – CCLEANER!
Really better than this software!
