Trois heures de marche et d’observation dans ses innombrables salles et ses couloirs infinis où sont exposées, entre autre, des collections de peintures du Moyen-Age et de la Renaisssance. Pas des oeuvres de grands maîtres mais plutôt des toiles émanant de leurs élèves ou de peintres mineurs, tous étant pour moi d’illustres inconnus au style codifié et formaté par les conventions et les contraintes. J’ai marché à un rythme moyen, le temps de jeter un regard sur chaque toile et de donner à chacun de ces peintres laborieux le minimum de respect que je sentais leur devoir.
Jusqu’ici, vous l’avez compris, je n’essaye pas de vous inciter à vous précipiter sur Capodelmonte.
Mais voilà, cette visite a été pour moi révélatrice. Car dans la masse de ces tableaux, figuraient un Caravaggio, deux Breughel…

Yesterday – May 2, 2014 – the day that Kiev radicals supported by the US government attacked and burnt to death civilians in Ukraine, is a day which will live in infamy.
Those of us who grew up in the West after WWII believed that supporting anything resembling fascism was unthinkable. The moral degeneration of the US state and its NATO allies since that time is beyond belief. So too is the degeneration of the Washington Post, The New York Times, and other corporate media which have helped to delude large numbers of Americans into believing that Russia, which has killed or attacked no one,is somehow the aggressor in Ukraine.
In reality, and on the ground, the US government – with no mandate from the American people –is supporting the Ukrainian ‘government’ installed in a coup…
