The house of my dreams

When I earn a few pennies I’ll construct a house,
It will be simple, with a little luxury
For the luxury as wealth destroys happiness.
My household will be white as the Alentejo houses,
It won’t be square, I do not wish that those living there could think that life can be restrained in a box.
The walls will be thick, to protect those I love.
My house will not be too large so that love might get lost,
Nor too small either so none will die of asphyxiation,
It will be enough so that we can all endure inside.
The ceiling of my house will be very neat, painted with dark colors in Algarve style,

So outsiders to passing by will imagine the details of our felicity.
The height of my house does not have the same…

And this should be a pressing concern for the rest of us …
