I have been very distracted by many things recently. When I turned 41 I heard that I will definitely lose my job April 1 next year (no joke). My grandfather passed away and so many other things happened (some small, some huge). In the meantime…..
I have been preparing my first solo exhibition for over two months and it opened on July 11. In the midst of all the turmoil mentioned above. I just didn’t feel like really celebrating this moment.
I have been hardly photographing this year. Working on the exhibition somehow really felt like closing a chapter, even if I didn’t want to. Sometimes it feels like everything is done and I don’t have a particular interest in other genres.

Homeschooled boy, 16, ‘shoots dead parents who banned him from soda, the Internet and PG-13 movies’

Police say the teen gunned down his parents Ryan and Elena Callens, age 48 and 49, in their home in Frisco, Texas, about 2am Monday. The 16-year-old, whose name was not released, was prohibited from drinking soda, had all of his online activities monitors and wasn’t allowed to watch any R-rated movies. The PG-13 films he watched were screened to remove sex, violence and other adult content.
- Ryan and Elena Callens, 48 and 49, were killed in their Frisco, Texas, home Monday morning
- Police arrested their 16-year-old son, but have not given a motive
- Neighbors say the teen was the youngest of five children, but was kept out of high school
- Any movies that the teen was allowed to see had to be stripped of violence and other adult content, neighbors say

Hilary Duff Grabs a Banjo for ‘All About You': Listen

Hilary Duff‘s comeback in music involves banjos.
That doesn’t necessarily mean she’s gone country ? far from it ? but for “All About You,” Duff’s new single and first song from her upcoming new album being serviced to radio, the former Disney star certainly draws on some folk elements.
Much like previous song “Chasing the Sun,” “All About You” has a sunny quality to it, seemingly fitting for a day beside the pool or beach. The banjo follows a fairly country formula, but the remainder of the instrumentation is more pop, perhaps tapping into popular music’s recent but now wavering fascination with rootsy instruments.

“Think you’re all about me but I’m all about you” Duff sings on the chorus, which itself seems akin to something Taylor Swift might have written at the turn of the decade.
