Leituras entrelaçadas

Gosto de coincidências. Principalmente quando acrescentam sabor à vida, como duas pontas soltas e autônomas que se encontram involuntariamente e se entrelaçam em harmonia.
Pois foi assim, de maneira inesperada, que o poético Migrar topou com o vigoroso Hot Sul da escritora colombiana Laura Restrepo, que eu terminara de ler.
A prosa intensa da escritora pode ser ficcional ou talvez não. Por ser jornalista, ela retrata com riqueza de detalhes a trajetória de uma parcela de imigrantes ilegais que enfrentam uma infinidade de problemas para realizar o Sonho Americano.
Após ser jogada injustamente na prisão, Maria Paz uma jovem latina, escreve com sofreguidão páginas e páginas narrando a sua vida. Ela segue o conselho do professor de escrita criativa, que ao ministrar aulas na penitenciária onde ela se encontra dissera: Aquilo que não se narra é como se não tivesse acontecido.

Hello there and purrs to you. It’s a new month, and the First Tuesday once more. I hope you have been keeping well.
I have been keeping very well, and there are many adventures to tell you about. In fact there are so many of them, both inside my house and outside, that I thought it might be a good idea to catch you up by telling you a few of them all in one post. Isn’t that nice?

The daylight circled overhead
And grew, and rose, to shadows;
The world of grand iniquity
Lay just outside the line
The clouds of human madness, for
Which there exist no aloes
To balm the sting of carelessness,
Or loathing, over time
But there was us, and our regard:
Our carnal separation —
Which soon enough, we’d end, and shed
The articles between
For rampant though the evil be,
We must find sense in something;
And we found sense in all our senses
Spent behind a screen
For where there’s no analysis
There still is strength in blending,
In fingertips and arching reach
And sweat upon the head
The clouds had gathered overhead,
And far, October lightning —
And all that we could, we did,
Upon a spinning bed
The going day had turned to stop,
And night grew in indenture;
The fleeting hope we grew upon
Lay flat and cold…
