She is the mistress, the start of the night
Blazing blue eyes, that summon twilight
Covering skies, yes, she’s gazing at you
Darkening paths, as the stars become new
Teasing with glimmers, the last of the light
Dreams become real, when she slips out of sight

It’s WMDs–Once Again

Not long ago the Syrian military was accused of using CWs on the civilian population and that caused a missile response by the Trump admin….and for weeks afterwards the big story was the use of these weapons and where Syria got them since they supposedly had all theirs destroyed in the early days of this conflict.
Of course Russia was the culprit during these debates and that has since died down….but then there was a new twist to the CW thing…..and it involves ISIS this time…..
A US official warns ISIS could be getting all its chemical weapons experts together in a “chemical weapons cell” in a last-ditch effort to defend its remaining territory in Syria. Esta coletânea de contos de Ernst Theodor Amadeus Wilhelm Hoffmann (1776–1822), intitulada O Reflexo Perdido e Outros Contos Insensatos, teve tradução, organização e notas de Maria Aparecida Barbosa. Aparecida selecionou algumas narrativas de três coletâneas originais de contos do autor alemão para produzir a edição nacional.
O livro começa com um prefácio que ambienta o leitor ao estilo de um dos grandes nomes do romantismo alemão e dando informações acerca das narrativas apresentadas na edição. Seguimos então para os contos divididos por um conjunto das seguintes coletâneas: Quadros Fantásticos à Maneira de Callot (Fantasiestücke in Callot’s Manier), Contos Noturnos (Nachtstücke) e Os Irmãos Serapião (Die Serapionsbrüder).
Na primeira parte, da coletânea Quadros Fantásticos à Maneira de Callot, publicada originalmente em 1814, apresenta os contos Jacques Callot, Cavaleiro Gluck – Uma lembrança do ano de 1809, Kreisleriana e O Reflexo Perdido…
