Supposedly the Centrale Montemartini museum in Rome only averages 5 visitors a day. I can’t vouch for the veracity of that statement (my dear companion supposedly got it from one of the guards? Who knows?) But I’m going to let the photos do the talking here because it is now officially my favorite museum in Rome.
Way better than the Vatican (which is just too much to be appealing). Better than the Galleria Borghese (or Palazzo Borghese for that matter), Better than the Villa Farnesina. Better than MAXXI and MACRO (of regular and Testaccio varieties). Better than the Palazzo Altemps and the Palazzo Massimo alle Colonne. Better than the Capitoline Museums. Better than the exhibitions at the Scuderie. Are there major ones I’m forgetting? Doesn’t matter because Centrale Montemartini beats…
