Dear Kim and Donald you will not be glad to learn that today you are not very original since the grotesque version of the Cold War has already been presented in 1964 by Stanley Kubrick with his Doctor Strangelove. That was only a movie, a masterpiece, not risky at all. On the contrary, your media storms are not really funny, cause you are trying to star the first real dangerous farce in human history. We don’t see the risk just because some general Ripper could take you seriously but, above all, because it is a diversion for the world’s opinion. History repeats itself, it is true, but differently each time.

While you force the media's focus, more and more enthusiastic and exalted by catastrophes and terror, because of that stupid show people might forget that the war of the future (which is today) it is only about the future. The world is already an interconnected network: we don’t even know where the servers that handle the huge amount of information are, or who they belong to. While we are fighting for water and information, you are scaring the world by confining it to a reality that is outdated, medieval. I don’t think that history will remember this planetary show as worthy, or honest.

We feel that politics is a dialogue between mankind and the future, not a macabre toy inseminating minds of uncertainties and fears, while participation decreases day by day. Fortunately, it is simply enough that they stop listening to you, or if they consider you for what you are proving to be ... a dreary and ridiculous soap opera.

Cari Kim e Donald forse non vi farà piacere di apprendere che siete davvero poco originali: la versione farsesca della guerra fredda è già stata realizzata, da Stanley Kubrick con il Dottor Stranamore nel 1964. La differenza è che quello era un film, un'opera d’arte, e non era pericolosa. Al contrario la vostra tempesta mediatica non ha nulla di divertente, perché state inscenando la prima farsa pericolosa della storia dell’uomo. Pericolosa non soltanto perché qualche generale Ripper potrebbe prendervi sul serio ma, sopratutto, perché distrae il mondo da tutto ciò che di nuovo è successo da allora ad oggi. E’ vero che la storia si ripete, ma lo fa in modo diverso ogni volta.

Mentre voi tenete in ostaggio l’attenzione dei media, sempre e da sempre entusiasti e esaltati da catastrofi e terrore, a causa di questa farsa demenziale la gente potrebbe dimenticare che la guerra del futuro (che è oggi) riguarda proprio il futuro. Il mondo sta diventando una rete e neppure è chiaro dove siano i server che gestiscono l’immensa mole di informazioni che circola, ed a chi appartengano. Stiamo già combattendo per l’acqua e per l’informazione, voi state semplicemente illudendo e spaventando il mondo trattenendolo in una realtà che è già medioevo. Non credo che la storia ricorderà questo teatrino planetario come qualcosa di degno, tantomeno di onesto.

Noi pensiamo che la politica sia il confronto fra l’uomo ed il suo futuro, non un giocattolo macabro per inseminare le menti di incertezze e timori mentre gli si avvilisce la capacità di partecipare. Ma, per fortuna, basta semplicemente che smettano di ascoltarvi, oppure vi considerino per quello che state dimostrando di essere… una soap opera tetra e ridicola.
