Participants of the 13th PCST have the opportunity of visiting the City of Knowledge, an integrated complex of education, culture, sport and recreation, run by a non-governmental entity. Created in 2007, the space has already attended more than 200 thousand children, youth, adults and seniors. The activities are varied: art and culture workshops, sports schools, health promotion activities, dance, theatre and music shows, courses, seminars, lectures and workshops. The City of Knowledge also offers scientific and cultural spaces, as the Universe Museum of Children and Adolescents (UNICA), which presents physics experiments, to promote an interactive learning. In 2013, the complex won the International Prize of Justice in the Fight against Social Inequality.

City of Knowledge - Camaçari / Salvador

The City of Knowledge is located 60 km from Salvador in Camaçari, a town with amazing beaches, surrounded by beautiful dunes that originated the Abrantes Dunas Park. For more information about the complex of education and culture, visit the official site: http://www.cidadedosaber.org.br/wp/

To those interested in visiting the City of Knowledge, we inform that the organization of PCST will provide a van for 10 people, at a cost of R$ 50 per person, for travelling to Salvador from Camaçari. If the demand is high, there is the possibility of providing a bus instead of the van. The tour will take place on May 9th, from 8:30 am, leaving from Pestana Hotel. For more details about the tour, we recommend that you go to the desk of Bahia Tours, at the Foyer Fernando Pessoa, at Pestana Hotel.
